At The Lumen, we are less interested in how tidy your CV looks than in how your mind moves.
If you never fully fit into ordinary structures, if you have lived through real challenges and still wake up
with ambition, if you see patterns others walk past and quietly re-organise complexity in your head – we would
like to hear from you.
At The Lumen, we know that brilliance does not always come wrapped in certificates.
If you do not have the usual academic paperwork – for whatever reason – tell us why you are good anyway,
and why you believe you might flourish here.
You can tell us who you are: what you know, what you can do, and what you want to explore next.
We work remotely, with occasional in-person sessions in central London. We collaborate with partners such as
iProov, Onfido, Yoti and IDnow, together with universities, clinics, governance teams and research groups.
Every candidate will work on a small real task before any decision is made – not to test you against a checklist,
but to understand how your mind works and how you might fit into the team.
Each of these roles is a starting point, not a box. The titles are there to give shape – not to limit what you could become here.
Research Fellow – Identity Integrity & AI Assurance
For minds who can spot a structural weakness faster than most spot a typo.
You work at the intersection of people, signals and systems. In this role, you explore how identity,

- If you lack the “right” certificates: why, and how you developed your abilities anyway
- Very practically: what you earn now and what you would expect here, whether freelance or employed
We ask these questions early not to exclude people, but to understand how you think, what you hope for,
and whether we can build something sustainable together.
